LIVES IN: Sherwood, USA
Sid Sottung's journey into barbering began at the young age of 14, working in a traditional Italian barbershop in New York. His passion led him to a 14-year career with Vidal Sassoon, where he trained in the Downtown New York salon and later thrived in both the New York and Washington DC branches. Sid briefly transitioned to teaching for Fudge in Philadelphia before returning to Vidal Sassoon, where he became the Assistant Creative Director in New York. His career at Sassoon was filled with editorial projects, a celebrity clientele, and contributions to international fashion shows.
Following his time at Sassoon, Sid embraced a new path as a freelance artist, including work on the 2005 film "Pride & Prejudice." In 2014, he founded the Sid Sottung Academy, now Haus of Sottung, where he trains the next generation of barbers and stylists. Although his work took him across the globe for fashion shows, Sid eventually returned home to Sherwood to focus on his family and his love for cutting hair in the salon. Welcome to Haus of Sottung, where tradition meets innovation.
